About the event

Safety & First Aid for Caregivers is practical, supportive class designed to help parents and caregivers feel more confident responding to everyday childhood illnesses and injuries. Together, we’ll cover common situations like cuts, scrapes, stings, allergic reactions and EpiPen use, fever and cold symptom management, rashes, poison ivy, and how to know what can be treated at home versus when it’s time to seek medical care.

Facilitated by Emily Hanwell, Physician Assistant, this class brings clear, trusted medical guidance to the real-life questions caregivers face at home. With clinical experience in Emergency Medicine and Cardiology, Emily understands how to assess symptoms, respond to urgent situations, and help families feel more prepared when something unexpected happens.

Caregivers will leave with practical knowledge, greater confidence, and a clearer sense of how to respond when little moments feel big.

This expert-led class is free or donation based, brought to you by The Nest…
