parents need support. the nest is here to help.

Nearly half of parents (48%) say their daily stress feels completely overwhelming (U.S. Surgeon General, 2025). Two out of three (66%) feel lonely in parenting, and almost 40% say they have no one to turn to for help (Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center & SSRS, 2024)

This takes a real toll. Seven out of ten parents (71%) report emotional distress such as stress, anxiety, depression, or loneliness (RAPID Survey Project, 2025). Decades of studies show that when parents don’t have support, their mental health suffers, their resilience fades, and family life becomes heavier (APA, 2022; NIH, 2021)

Why this matters for children and communities

When parents struggle, children feel it too. Research shows a parent’s mental health directly shapes a child’s emotional and behavioral well-being (Cordts et al., 2020). Without support, children’s brain development, learning, and self-regulation can be disrupted (Harvard Center on the Developing Child, 2016)

The impact shows up in schools: 40% of children enter kindergarten already behind, and most of them never catch up (University of Florida Lastinger Center, 2022). Strained parents mean strained kids and over time, strained communities

It's not that parents don't want support

THE RESOURCES AREN'T THERE
