Responsibilities
Purpose: Keep The Nest financially healthy, compliant, and future-ready.
Members may be responsible for things such as:
Monthly bookkeeping checkpoints (reconciliations, receipt capture, tidy chart of accounts)
Budget-to-actuals and quarterly snapshots
Forecasting and projections for programs and events
Light internal controls (spending thresholds, reimbursements, documentation)
Prep for annual filings and audit-readiness basics
Skills
Google Sheets / Excel knowledge, Quickbooks or similar. Ideal for: Volunteer accountant/bookkeeper, finance-savvy helpers, or potential Board Treasurer candidates
Time Commitment
~3–6 hrs/month (slightly more during setup)
